Testimony
Here is my testimony as to how this thirty one day devotional came about. My granddaughter Robyn, herself a gifted musician, received the words of a song while playing the piano and singing to the Lord. The words “I want to know You Lord” were part of the lyrics that were on her heart. A few days later I received the rest of the song from the Lord!
As she was about to celebrate her 21st birthday, I was inspired to compile a 31 day devotional as a gift to her, as I had done for her younger brother Luke, John 17 vs 3 is the heart of this devotional, there is no greater purpose on this earth, other than to know the Lord. For this we were all born. I have edited and adapted it for public use. Listen to the soaking music and read the daily devotional as you get to know Him Who is altogether lovely.

‘Altars in the Secret Place’
Jesus in the secret place – let us be like Mary who sat at Jesus feet in Luke 10 38-42. Let this be the ‘one thing‘ we desire in Psalm 27 vs 4 One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple. Let us draw near to the ‘Altars in the Secret Place’
‘Healing‘
Jesus our healer – When you are kneeling at His feet, healing is yours. All He is He imparts to you by His Spirit, Healing, forgiveness, peace, mercy, grace, holiness, righteousness, wisdom and all you will ever need. Isaiah 53:5
(5) But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was on Him; and with His stripes we ourselves are healed.
‘New Every Morning’
Jesus – New Every Morning Mark 1:35
(35) And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. If Jesus can rise up early and spend time in communion with His Father, then so can we. Let Jesus be our ‘One thing’ like Mary in Luke 10 vs 42 Lamentations 3:22-23 It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
Enter into My Rest
Jesus – our rest – “Come to Me” He calls. He calls us to Himself just like He called the disciples to “Follow Me”. As we sit at His feet We ‘enter into His rest‘. His yoke is easy, His burden is light. Matthew 11 vs 28 -30. Let His perfect love cast out all fear, and let His abiding peace fill your heart.

‘He shall come like the rain‘
Jesus – Eternal life – Hosea 6:3
Let us know; let us press on to know the LORD; His going out is sure as the dawn; He will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth.” Jesus said in John 17 vs 3 “Now this is eternal life that they might know You and Jesus Christ whom You have sent”.
‘Jesus our Refuge’
Jesus – our Refuge – Hebrews 6:18
(18) so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us. Jesus is our refuge, our strong tower, our hope, our anchor, cornerstone, our soon and coming Bridegroom, our Lord, our Shepherd, our Beloved and our everything.
Christ be formed in me
Jesus Christ – be formed in me – Union with Jesus in the secret place John 17:22-23
(22) The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one,
(23) I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. As we spend time with Jesus in worship, prayer and communion, we become that which we behold. Christ in us the hope of glory. Colossians 1 vs 27
Waves of Peace
Jesus – our peace. John 14:27
(27) Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Ephesians 2 vs13-14 (13) But now in Christ Jesus you who were once afar off are made near by the blood of Christ.
(14) For He is our peace, He making us both one, and He has broken down the middle wall of partition between us, Ephesians 2:13-14 As you meditate on these scriptures in His presence, I believe You will sense a deep peace that can only come from knowing Jesus as your Saviour.
Grace for Grace
Jesus – full of grace and Truth!! John 1:12-16
(12) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
(13) Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
(14) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
(15) John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
(16) And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
New Wine Skins
A new creation in Christ Jesus Vessels who can be conduits for the holy Spirit to flow through. 2Corinthians 5:17
(17) So then, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; what is old has passed away – look, what is new has come! Mark 2:22
(22) And no one pours new wine into old wineskins; otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the skins will be destroyed. Instead new wine is poured into new wineskins.” New Creations in Christ yielded to His Lordship, submitted to His Lordship, obedient to His counsel.
Consider the lilies
Jesus – our provision Matthew 6:28-29 NKJV
[28]“So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin;
[29]and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these 1Peter 5:6-7
(6) Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
(7) Casting all your care upon him; for he cares for you. Philippians 4:6-7
(6) do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
(7) And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Beyond the veil
Jesus – in the Most Holy Place Luke 23:44-45
(44) It was now about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour,
(45) while the sun’s light failed. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Hebrews 10:19-22
(19) Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus,
(20) by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh,
(21) and since we have a great priest over the house of God,
(22) let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
Wellsprings of Life
Jesus – The Water and the Well Jesus was seated at a well having a rest when He offered the woman ‘Living Water’ . He also revealed Himself as the Messiah to her . It is very significant that He was seated near Jacob’s well. which was a natural source of water. In essence He was saying “I am the living water and the well” Let us come to Jesus Who is the water and the Well and drink. Revelation 22:17
(17) And the Spirit and the bride say, Come! And let the one hearing say, Come! And let the one who is thirsty come. And he willing, let him take of the Water of Life freely.
Sweet Communion
Jesus – Redeemer Luke 7:37-38 tells the story of a woman known in the city as a sinner who brought an alabaster vial of ointment. She began to wash His feet with tears and wipe them with the hair of her head. She then kissed His feet and anointed them with the ointment. Dearly beloved the action of love displayed heartfelt worship for the One she knew could redeem her from the slavery of her sin. She loved much because she was forgiven much. We too have been forgiven much. Let the desire for His presence and sweet communion display such first love passion in times of devotion to our Redeemer.
Fulness of Joy
Jesus – our Joy John 15:9-11
(9) As the Father has loved Me, so I have loved you; continue in My love.
(10) If you keep My commandments, you shall abide in My love, even as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
(11) I have spoken these things to you so that My joy might remain in you and your joy might be full. As we position ourselves in the place of ‘Abiding in Jesus’ we will find that keeping His commandments and continuing in His love will flow from a place of love, joy, peace and rest. It all flows from a place of ‘abiding in Jesus’. It is in this place where we truly experience ‘The fulness of Joy’
Dance of the Beloved
The bride knows how to obediently keep in step with her beloved Bridegroom before the marriage supper of the Lamb. Truly, she is making herself ready, she is clothed in garments of fine linen!!! Revelation 19:6-8
(6) And I heard a voice like that of a great multitude, and like the sound of many waters, and the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Hallelujah! For the Lord God Almighty has reigned.
(7) Let us be glad and shout with joy; and let us give glory to Him; for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.”
(8) And it was granted to her that she should be clothed in fine linen, pure and bright; for the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints.
Intercession
Warrior Bride
Jesus – Mighty Warrior Across the nations, the body of Christ is without doubt in a battle! However, we have the victory in Jesus if we are faithful to heed the call to surrender and obedience. As the Holy Spirit downloaded this music, I saw in the Spirit a company of people dressed in white but wearing army boots! They marched forward in absolute unity with determination and purpose! They lifted up their swords as they prayed, proclaimed the Name and the victory of the Lord. As the music progressed, they are moving forward in great joy and confidence as the marching transforms into a dance! As the music comes to an end, there is a sense of completion and victory as the company of God’s people rest in green pastures. I believe Jesus is coming for a victorious, pure, spotless Bride without spot or blemish. I believe this music can be a blessing and a strength to the intercessors in the body of Christ as they get drawn into the vision and join the great company of bridal watchmen-warriors!
Stirrings of a new dawn
Jesus – All things New Revelation . 21:1-2
(1) And I saw a new heaven and a new earth. For the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. And the sea no longer is.
(2) And I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of Heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her Husband. Jesus is returning for a pure, spotless passionate Bride!! Even now He is calling His Bride to be completely His, in faithfulness and purity. I cannot emphasize secret place intimacy enough. The oil of personal times of worship with our Beloved Jesus is vital, the fire of passionate first love and living waters that flow from drinking the waters of life in His presence. Let the Living Waters flow from your innermost being. He is worthy.
Captain of the Lord of Hosts
Jesus – Captain of the Lord of Hosts Joshua 5:13-15
(13) And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries?
(14) And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant?
(15) And the captain of the LORD’S host said unto Joshua, Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so. He Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. Even so Lord Jesus……Come!!
